Medical Weight Loss & GLP-1 Treatment – Terms & Conditions (Updated)

 

1. Nature of the Service

  

Active HealthStyle provides a doctor-led medical weight management service. Our programmes may include lifestyle interventions, nutritional guidance, behavioural support, and prescription-only weight loss medications, including GLP-1 receptor agonists, where clinically appropriate.

 

All medical services are provided following a professional assessment by a UK-registered doctor. Participation in any programme does not guarantee eligibility for prescription treatment.

   

2. GLP-1 Medications

  

GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonists are prescription-only medicines that may be used as part of a medically supervised weight-management programme.

 

  • GLP-1 medications are not suitable for everyone

  • Prescription is subject to a full medical assessment

  • Treatment decisions are made solely by the prescribing clinician

  • Medication is used as an adjunct to lifestyle change, not as a standalone solution

  

Active HealthStyle does not promote or guarantee specific outcomes, rates of weight loss, or cosmetic results.

   

3. Medical Assessment & Eligibility

 

 Before any prescription is issued, patients must:

 

  • Complete a detailed medical assessment 

  • Provide accurate and complete health information

  • Disclose current medications, medical conditions, and relevant family history

  

The clinician may:

 

  • Request additional information or tests

  • Decline or discontinue treatment if it is not clinically appropriate

  • Adjust or stop medication based on safety, response, or side effects

  

4. Prescribing & Monitoring

  

Where GLP-1 therapy is prescribed:

 

  • Ongoing monitoring and follow-up are required

  • Dosage adjustments are at the clinician’s discretion

  • Patients must follow all administration, storage, and safety instructions

 

 

Failure to attend reviews or comply with medical guidance may result in treatment being paused or discontinued.

  

5. No Guarantee of Results

  

While GLP-1 medications are supported by clinical evidence, individual results vary.

 

Active HealthStyle does not guarantee:

 

  • A specific amount or speed of weight loss

  • Long-term maintenance without lifestyle changes

  • Suitability for ongoing treatment

  

Sustainable outcomes depend on medical suitability, adherence, and behavioural change.

 

 

6. Patient Responsibilities

 

 Patients agree to:

 

  • Provide truthful and accurate medical information

  • Use medication strictly as prescribed

  • Report side effects or concerns promptly

  • Continue routine care with their GP

  

Medication should not be shared, resold, or used outside medical guidance.

  

 

7. Emergency & Ongoing Care

 

 Active HealthStyle is not an emergency service.

 

In the event of:

 

  • Severe side effects

  • Acute illness

  • Medical emergencies

  

Patients should seek immediate medical attention via NHS services or emergency care.

 

  

8. Regulatory Compliance

 

 

Active HealthStyle operates in accordance with:

 

  • GMC standards for medical practice

  • UK prescribing regulations

  • MHRA and ASA advertising guidance

  

All references to GLP-1 therapies on this website are informational, not promotional, and are intended to support informed medical decision-making.

9. Payment Terms

  • All consultations, medications, and programme fees must be paid in advance or as agreed in your subscription plan.

  • Late or failed payments may result in suspension or cancellation of services until cleared.

 

 

10. Delivery of Medications

  • Prescription medications are dispensed via our licensed UK pharmacy partner and delivered to the address provided by the patient.

  • Delivery times are subject to pharmacy processing and courier availability.

  • Patients are responsible for accurate delivery information. Active HealthStyle cannot be held liable for delays or non-delivery due to incorrect address details.

  • Medications must be signed for upon delivery, and patients should check all packaging for damage or errors.

 

 

11. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Consultation cancellation: You may cancel or reschedule consultations up to 48 hours in advance without charge. Cancellations within 48 hours will incur a 100% fee.

  • Medication subscription cancellations: Subscriptions can be paused or cancelled by contacting us at least 30 days before the next payment cycle.

  • Refunds:

  • No refunds are offered for medications already dispatched.

  • Refunds for consultations or unused services are considered on a case-by-case basis at Active HealthStyle’s discretion.

  • We do not provide refunds once a prescription has been issued or medication delivered, except where required by UK law.
